       Markets across Asia broadly declined overnight (August 27th), after US secretary of state John Kerry confirmed the country is discussing the possibility of taking military action against Syria.
      在美国国务卿克里表示美国正在商讨对叙利亚采取军事行动的可能性后，亚洲市场一夜之间全线下跌。

      This is after the suspected chemical weapons attack near Damascus on August 21st. Mr Kerry said that president Barack Obama "believes there must be accountability for those who would use the world's most heinous weapons against the world's most vulnerable people".
      在8月21日疑似化学武器袭击大马士革附近后，美国国务卿克里说总统奥巴马“相信那些使用世界上最令人发指的武器来袭击世界上最脆弱的普通民众的人需承担责任”。

      Following these comments, Wall Street stocks closed 0.4 per cent lower and Asian stocks took their lead from this, with MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares dropping by 1.2 per cent.

     Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index declined by 0.7 per cent to 13,513.57 points, following the previous session's 0.2 per cent fall.

      However, analysts dismissed suggestions that this is an example of panic selling on the markets, insisting that traders are merely expressing caution as they wait to see how the geopolitical situation pans out.
